Philosophy
The best interest and well being of the child is at the heart of our program. At The Children's Garden Preschool we recognize that each child is unique and requires individualized attention to ensure proper cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. It is our goal to provide a safe and supportive learning environment where children are able to reach their full potential.Children are encouraged to
follow their own interests and to engage in their natural
energies and curiosity while exploring their surroundings.
Imagination and self expression are strongly encouraged.
Children are introduced to the wonders of the natural world
and develop an appreciation for the world and people around
them.
Children learn by example and
therefore, an environment that values respect, compassion and
fairness is vital. We promote positive peer interactions that
build self confidence and encourage children to try new
things. Cooperative learning and social competence are
developed through group and individual activities.
Creative and critical thinking
skills are enhanced through independent learning and proper
guidance.
Children will learn effective decision making capabilities
and develop self help skills. Children will ultimately be
taught how to think, not what to think.
